Alec Baldwin's wife Hilaria breaks silence after fatal shooting on Rust set

Alec Baldwin’s wife Hilaria Baldwin has broken her silence following the tragic death of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Last Thursday, the 30 Rock actor had been filming the movie at the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico, when he discharged a prop firearm, accidentally killing Hutchins, 42, and wounding director Joel Souza.

Alec issued a statement on Friday, in which he Hilaria shared his “shock and sadness” over the incident, and on Monday, Hilaria shared that she was “heartbroken” over Halyna’s passing.

“My heart is with Halyna. Her husband. Her son. Their family and loved ones. And my Alec,” she posted on Instagram. “It’s said, ‘There are no words,’ because it’s impossible to express the shock and heartache of such a tragic accident. Heartbreak. Loss. Support.”

Hilaria did not share any further comment.

Over the weekend, Alec was photographed hugging Halyna’s husband Matthew, as well as her nine-year-old son.

In his original statement, the Hollywood star declared his immense sadness over the incident.

“There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, wife, mother, and deeply admired colleague of ours,” the 63-year- old wrote on his Twitter page. “I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna.”

Last week, police officers reported that no one had been arrested and no charges had been filed, with the accident still under “open and active” investigation.

Japan’s Princess Mako Is Finally Married. Will the Controversy End There?

Japan’s Princess Mako Is Finally Married. Will the Controversy End There?

Earlier this morning, Princess Mako of the Japanese imperial family finally tied the knot with her college sweetheart, Kei Komuro. The event marks the end of a long and tumultuous road to the altar that will now see Mako forgo her status as a royal, reject her $1.4 million dowry, and likely move to New York to begin a new life as a normal citizen.

In lieu of the televised spectacle that would typically accompany a Japanese royal wedding, the nuptials instead took place in the modest surroundings of a Tokyo registry office. A press conference in which the couple responded to five preapproved questions from the nation’s media served as the only public-facing element of the day’s proceedings.

Since meeting Komuro during her time at the International Christian University in Tokyo in the early 2010s, Mako’s choice of suitor has been roundly criticized by much of the country’s tabloid media for his humble origins, highlighting the disproportionate pressure placed on women in the imperial family. After their engagement was first announced in 2017, a planned wedding in November 2018 was postponed due to a financial dispute between Komuro’s mother and her former fiancé, with the latter reportedly accusing the former of failing to pay back a 4 million yen ($36,000) loan, despite Komuro and his mother’s belief that the money was a gift.

The subsequent backlash, which Komuro countered with a 28-page document explaining the financial arrangement and his plan to pay the money back, led to a social media firestorm, with Mako eventually being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of the scandal earlier this year. “Kei is irreplaceable for me. For us, marriage is a necessary choice to live while cherishing our hearts,” Mako said with unusual candor at today’s press conference. “The flow of arbitrary criticism of Kei’s actions, as well as one-sided speculation that ignored my feelings, made falsehoods somehow seem like reality and turn into an unprovoked story that spread.”

Emily Blunt Will Host the 2021 CFDA Fashion Awards

When the CFDA Fashion Awards return as an in-person event on November 10, they will do so with a very glamorous new host: Emily Blunt. The British actress, famous for roles like Mary Poppins (quite stylish in that red coat), A Quiet Place (more scary than stylish), and The Devil Wears Prada (stylish in a scary way!), will emcee the evening inside The Pool Room and Grill.

CFDA Chairman Tom Ford wrote in a release: “Emily is one of the most talented actresses in the world. Her timeless style and elegance light up any room. The wonderful thing about Emily is that she is both kind and intelligent. I have great admiration for her, and I am so happy to have her as the host of this year’s CFDA awards.”

Blunt follows in the footsteps of previous CFDA Fashion Awards hosts Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae, Seth Meyers, and James Corden, among others. As for what the actress might wear for fashion’s biggest night, we’d anticipate a few costume changes throughout the evening.

Stay tuned for more coverage from the CFDA Fashion Awards and find this year’s list of honorees and nominees here.

Who Accepts Bitcoin? These Are 5 Companies That Do!

Bitcoin. It is taking off after recently reaching an all-time high price record of just over $66,000.

With so many people buying bitcoin and placing value on it, others may be curious where you can use this cryptocurrency as a form of payment.

Well, there are more and more companies starting to adapt to this. Read on to find out who accepts bitcoin.

1. AT&T

AT&T started to accept bitcoin as payment back in 2019 and has been one of the biggest companies out there to take this crypto on. What this company does is use BitPay to take bitcoin payments, which is a third-party cryptocurrency payment processor.

They are the only major US cell phone company to accept this form of payment as of now, so AT&T has gained a market advantage over others such as Verizon or T-Mobile, which have not yet implemented this.

2. Some NBA Teams

A couple of NBA teams accept bitcoin, with the main two being the Sacramento Kings and the Dallas Mavericks. The Kings were very early adaptors to bitcoin, even paying some employees with the currency way back in 2014.

The Mavericks started accepting bitcoin as payment for tickets and merchandise back in 2019, and have now gone further into the cryptocurrency world by accepting dogecoin as well earlier in 2021.

Earlier in 2021, the Kings’ owner announced that he would be willing to pay some players in bitcoin as well.

3. Starbucks

Technically, Starbucks does give people the option to use bitcoin to convert in their stores but they do not take it directly. Starbucks allows people to use an app to convert cryptocurrency into US dollars which can then be used in their stores.

People can also use the app to convert cryptocurrency into gift cards such as in Starbucks, which can then be re-loaded onto the Starbucks app.

One place you can exchange bitcoin into gift cards that can be used in places like Starbucks is Byte Federal.

4. Paypal

This is not only a company that accepts bitcoin as payment but also one that allows you to buy and sell this cryptocurrency as well. Depending on what vendor you are buying something from, you can pay with bitcoin among other major cryptocurrencies at checkout using their platform.

It is also a more direct version than some other companies, allowing you to sell whatever amount of bitcoin you own on the platform to make the purchase and there are no extra fees to do this.

5. Travala

Finally, arguably one of the more successful companies to accept bitcoin as payment has been Travala. They are owned by Trip Advisor and have been accepting bitcoin for several years now, as far back as 2014.

This is mainly for booking hotels and hundreds of thousands of properties are on this platform for people that are interested in paying in bitcoin to use. With travel taking off in the last decade around the same time as bitcoin, some speculate this could be the future of paying for travel arrangements one day.

Find Who Accepts Bitcoin

These are just five companies that support the major cryptocurrency. Inevitably, the list of companies who accepts bitcoin should only grow in the near future.

4 Undeniable Benefits of Microsoft Teams

Did you know that 75% of employees say that collaboration and teamwork are important to them? If your employees have a hard time communicating and working with their colleagues, they’ll feel less job satisfaction and could end up being less productive.

That’s when a tool like Microsoft Teams for business can help. If you’re wondering if Microsoft Teams tools can help improve productivity, you’re in the right place.

Keep reading to learn about some of the benefits of Microsoft Teams so you can decide if it’s the right solution for your company’s needs.

1. It Simplifies Communication

Oftentimes, employees have quick questions that don’t always warrant a full email or meeting. Microsoft Teams makes it easy to initiate quick conversations, so no one is held up on a task.

In this digital world, this is a great substitute for popping into someone’s office with a question, that might not be an option when working from home. However, even in a traditional office setting, sending a quick note on Microsoft Teams is still preferable, because it causes less of a disruption, helping everyone to stay on task.

Best of all, you can categorize conversations, making it easy for certain teams to communicate with each other, without worrying about leaving anyone out.

2. It Makes Meetings Easier

With more and more people working from home, being able to connect via video and audio calls is more important than ever before. Microsoft Teams has that technology built-in, so you can call or video chat with anyone on your team with the click of a button.

Since Microsoft Teams is compatible on all devices, this makes it easier to connect on the go as well. No matter where your work takes you, Microsoft Teams can help you feel like you’re in the same room as your colleagues.

3. It Offers Real-Time Collaboration

If your employees often collaborate on projects together, Microsoft Teams can make the whole process easier. Instead of having to work on files separately, sending updated versions back and forth, multiple employees can work on the same document through Teams in real-time.

The program auto-saves the documents as well, so you never have to worry about losing work or overwriting changes from another colleague.

4. It Integrates With Other Services

While Microsoft Teams is powerful on its own, perhaps its best feature of all is that it integrates with other services to do even more for your business. For instance, if your business relies on Twitter for customer feedback, you can integrate customer tweets into Teams, so employees can respond without switching to a different interface.

For another example, learn more about how this company works with Microsoft Teams to help increase productivity.

You’ll also have help from an expert that will know the areas that you can get tax deductions. This could save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars come tax season. It will also make the process of small business payroll processing much simpler for tax purposes.

Keep Good Records

Another thing that will make your life much easier when tax season arrives is accurate record keeping. Having your records organized and in good order will make filing your taxes a breeze since you won’t be scrambling to find important documents. It will also ensure that you file an accurate tax return to the IRS.

Understand Your Net and Gross Income

Understanding your net income and your gross income will also go a long way towards helping you file your taxes in an accurate way come tax season. Your gross income is the money that you take home after you factor in production costs and shipping. This is important when it comes to your small business taxes. Knowing this will help you make your business more profitable.

Manage Your Payroll

Payroll also plays a big role when it comes to small business taxes. It is never a bad idea to hire a company that helps you with managing your payroll. Do your research and make sure that the company is reputable and good to work with before hiring them. The IRS tends to check each quarter to see if you’ve paid your payroll taxes.
